Oh, yes, Caleb. This is what that Valentine’s day is all about, eventually. This new kind of love. Great shot. Captures the mood and the commitment. Thanks for sharing this photo with us.
Caleb. Most times, I pull up a picture and say to myself, “really nice.” and then I move on and seldom revisit. But this picture has such power to it and such flow. I just love it. It’s a real portrait. It reminds me of something I might see in the National Portrait Gallery. Have you been there? It’s one of the most amazing of the Smithsonians. You think how can a portrait gallery be fun. Lot’s of pictures of heads. Well, it’s not. It’s a real personal view of people’s lives through photography. And that’s what I think this picture is. Sorry that I’ve run on an on. I just wanted to tell you this.
Thank you Gail, it’s funny to see what images move people. I love this as it was not posed. I can hardly get a picture of my wife without her putting her hand in front of her face! I’ll need to check out the NPG, there is something so amazing about portraits as they can always be interesting. My Father has a book of nothing else but portraits of Native Americans taken in the 1800’s… it is AMAZING. Each beautiful, each different. Thanks for your kind words

Hey Caleb. Haven’t checked your PLOG in a while, but just saw this one and now I’m crying a little bit.
It’s late.
But this is really beautiful.
