For ten years or so photography has been a hobby for me. My love of photography revolves around composition. I don’t have a preference for a certain style, to me it’s all about how the subjects in the frame coincide with the particular mood I’m striving to get out of the picture. I love Photoshop, however, I don’t spend much time in it besides doing the basics to touch up each decent photo. I joke that taking great photos is all about statistics, if you take 100 plus photos each time you use your camera you’re bound to end up with 1 or 2 good shots.

I shoot using a Nikon D80 and only use the manual functions. I use a Nikor AF-S 18mm-55mm and a Nikor AF-S 55mm-200mm zoom lens. Most of my shots are done using the 55-200mm lens, as it typically provides a more shallow depth of field and more sticking photos. If anyone is looking to get into photography and is in the market for a strong entry level Digital SLR I love the Nikon D40’s.

The object of this photo page is to be able to share my love of photography with anyone who wants to see. I will post 1 photo daily and at the end of the week have a recap and provide you with the chance to vote on your favorite for the week. I love my hobby and I hope you enjoy the daily photos!
