Making Waves

Ripples

Last summer I was in a boat with a group of family and friends doing some early morning water skiing. I was up front with the camera (typical) and as the boat would circle back I would watch the waves the boat would create. There would be a split second where the waves reached a certain angle with the light and would make a near perfect mirrored surface. With the deep red rocks and bright blue skies of Lake Powell, that split second was beautiful. I waited and waited until the right moment and I took nearly 20 pictured without getting it until, I finally caught it at the right angle.

  1. I love this shot. Instantly I knew it was Powell. It is so calming.

Oh and I am hoping to get in on your next challenge. The motivation to take different (not of my kids) is a great one. Hope all is well with you three!
