You’re Not That Far

Filed under: Uncategorized — cabenelson @ 9:58 pm

You know that point when you’re on a long vacation and you have that dreaded feeling of returning? The, “No… no… don’t make me go back” and then you stay a couple more days and it turns into, “You know what? I could go back and be happy.” Then you stay another couple of days and it turns into, “Dude… GET ME BACK HOME!”

By the time we actually get back we will have been gone for 3 and a half weeks. Uh… seriously? Good thing my wife is a stay at home mom and I have the flexibility in my own company. But I’ve got the itch…

Oh Santa Cruz, you’re not that far…

  1. If it’s Santa Cruz CA you’re speaking of, I use to live north on Hwy 9 in Ben Lomond. I miss it too..

  2. Cabe – Do you realize how very blessed you and your family are to have lived in such beautiful parts of the country? To go from those beautiful fields, mountains, snow, horses to the beauty of the ocean – WOW! Not to mention the beautiful wife and baby you now have.

Dude, you are truly, truly blessed!

  3. I totally know what you mean. Nick and I head back to Kansas tomorrow. As much as I don’t want to live in Kansas I miss being in my own space and my own bed, etc. By the way, I can’t wait for the photo challenges to start up again. I know, I’m lame.

And like Stacy, I’m looking forward to the photo challenges too! Happy New Year.
