The song of choice for this picture is Ray LaMontagne – Empty It’s an amazing song that sets the mood perfectly for this image.

This was taken last summer during one of the best summer days I’ve ever had. Kim and I woke up early and went to the beach with some good friends (left when we saw this storm approaching) and had an amazing BBQ dinner poolside.

  1. That WAS the best beach day!

  2. Did you use a super-duper zoom lens for this shot? It’s a great one!

  5. Caleb. Look up Alfred Stieglitz. He’s a really old photographer. Like he used calotypes old. He has some amazing images like the one you took. Which by the way is awesome.

  8. That is a cool song, though strangely, I tend to liken this more to the witch’s theme from Wizard of Oz. 🙂

    Very cool shot!
